Though my 10 year old best friend will live in my heart forever, I was ready to search for a new companion.
With the help of one of my dog walker friends, we found a beautiful male Goldendoodle, that by chance happened to be born on my birthday! Now 12 weeks older, he was the apple of my eye.
When I met the breeder in person (Armen Karapetian) he came prepared with a portfolio of all the shots and services Bennie had received. The puppy was full of spirit and was immediately loving as I reached to hold him.
Now home with me, he has met all the dogs in my walking group and is excited to play and tussle with all. (a small poodle, Bernese Mountain doodle, Portuguese water dog, and standard Lab; no matter the size, Bennie wants to play with all on the cul de sac.
I recommend Armen Karapetian to all. The care Bennie has received since birth is exhibited in his socialization and playfulness learned from Armen.

Sophie is calm and very smart. When she came to us she already knew some basic commands. Now she is about ninety percent potty trained.

We're a couple in our 70's, so many beloved dogs have passed thru our lives. But our pair of Cavaliers, Chauncey & Scarlett, were, we agreed, the best...except for the fact Cavaliers are renowned for their health issues. Then 3 years ago, we added another Cavalier his breeder asked us to take at 14 months. Pippin was beyond a "runt", was 4 oz. at birth and his entire life had been a struggle, with physical problems and a failed adoption attempt, leaving emotional scars, too. Chauncey & Scarlett immediately set about "parenting" him and Pippin was totally dependent upon them. We'd almost expected to lose Scarlett, who almost died at 4, and we'd fought to keep her alive the final 4 years of her life. It was, nonetheless, heart-wrenching when it happened. The "boys" were constantly searching for her. Chauncey had a slight murmur and "slightly enlarged" heart, which were constantly watched. In fact, he was at the vet the afternoon before he died in emergency of heart failure at 3:30 a.m. This was simply unbearable for us, and Pippin. We would have waited, maybe forever, to consider another dog...but for Pippin, who was visibly wasting away. Thank goodness for Armen of Kid's Best Doodle!! We didn't know how a Goldendoodle would "fit", yet he explained how his dogs are bred for stability and exposed to so many situations. Tulip, now Paisley, a Mini-, was adorable and sized for Pippin...but we had so many questions. I could feel Armen's knowledge and love for his dogs when he spoke. He could see we would be the perfect home for her, and she for us. He offers his Matching service and so many seem to be grateful for that; I know we are. I took hours of his time and he didn't seem to mind, just had enthusiasm for this match. Paisley is SO well balanced, so sweet, scary intelligent and energetic, and fit in within 2 hours! Both dogs fell asleep, curled up against me and each other on the sofa, the first night home! We've had her 11 days now and fall asleep each night, wondering at how much she learned today! She's brought our first happy moments of the past month+. It was after we'd committed to Paisley that I clicked for full information on her parents. I was astounded at the DNA info provided, and the extensive health testing, including results! He cares! Armen was a pure pleasure to deal with throughout this process and a continuing resource. I cannot recommend him and his wonderful Doodles too highly!

Buddy’s family · May 2026 · Good Dog verified ownerA few months ago, or 5yr old dog Louie had cluster seizures and died. We were heartbroken. And we felt terrible for his best friend, our 8yr old Goldendoodle Desi. He seemed sad and lonely. We waited a few months to mourn. Then we started looking. We made a list of criteria. Full size male, red color etc. Then last Friday my daughter was searching Good Dog, and found our dog. The pictures drew us in. We contacted Armen, the breeder and by Sunday afternoon we were driving to Newport to pick him up!
We are serious dog people. Our family loves our dogs like children. We take them everywhere we can and love them to the max.
Armen made this the best adoption experience we have ever had. We had a video visit. What a great guy. We agreed on the dog on Saturday morning. Armen walked us through the paperwork and scheduled a meet-up on Newport Beach, about an hour north of us. Stef meet us and had the puppy and a bag of supplies like food, a collapsible water dish, pee pads,a toy etc. So kind.
It's only been a few days since we brought Buddy home, but it feels like he's been here longer.
I also have to commend Armen's training. He told us Buddy was pad trained, but he has been doing his business outside with a few exceptions.
We are so happy with this experience that I highly recommend Good Dog and Kids Doodles.

The silence where her presence used to be was deafening. My family was grieving, and I knew we needed time - real time - to heal before we could open our hearts to another dog.
So when I started looking at breeders, I wasn’t looking for now. I was looking for eventually. I found Armen and saw he had a litter due in February. Perfect, I thought. I’d fill out an application, get on a waiting list, and by the time those puppies were ready in April or May, maybe we’d be ready too.

He’d received my application and wanted to tell me about Roxy. She was a beautiful curly-haired Goldendoodle who had recently been returned to him, and reading my application, he thought we might be the perfect match. I was intrigued - not just by the timing, but by Roxy’s story. She’d already experienced the trauma of being returned, of losing a home. And as parents of children with special needs, including foster children, my husband and I understood something about providing stability in the midst of upheaval. We knew we could give Roxy what she needed. It felt like a win-win, even if the timing felt impossibly soon.
Armen suggested a FaceTime call so we could meet her.
It was love at first sight.
Through the screen, I could see her sweetness, her gentle nature. I had to meet her in person. The very next day, we drove to the vet where she had a routine check-up appointment. As we approached, I saw her through the frosted glass door - that unmistakable curly red hair. And somehow, she saw us too.
When the door opened, Roxy didn’t hesitate. She ran straight toward us with kisses and hugs, like she’d been waiting for us her whole life.
We were smitten.
Roxy came home with us that day, and I can honestly say she is the most exceptional dog I’ve ever known. Smart, well-behaved, beautiful, and sweet as pie. She’s full of cuddles all day long - the kind of constant, gentle affection that somehow knew exactly what our broken hearts needed. She didn’t replace the dog we lost; she couldn’t. But she filled all the holes in our hearts we didn’t know how to fill ourselves.
Looking back, I’m so grateful for Armen’s gracious, thoughtful approach through the entire experience. He wasn’t pushy. He genuinely wanted to find the right fit for Roxy, and you could tell - in every conversation, every piece of guidance - that he truly loves his dogs. He made everything easy during a time when nothing felt easy. His communication was exceptional, his care for Roxy’s wellbeing evident in every detail.
We weren’t ready. But Roxy was exactly what we needed, exactly when we needed her. And Armen trusted us with her at our most vulnerable moment.
I would absolutely use him again - not just because he’s a wonderful breeder, but because he understood that bringing a dog into a family isn’t just a transaction. It’s about love, timing, trust, and sometimes, a little bit of fate.
Roxy is home now, right where she belongs. And so are we.

He asked important questions about the future home of the puppy we were interested in. He made sure our family was ready to receive the puppy in every capacity.
